Drawing For Beginners

The course is specifically designed for those at the start of their art journery, so don't worry there are no mistakes here, only learning! The course will be broken down with a 2 hour a week class focusing on a different skill each week for 4 weeks. You will be led by an experienced artist and teacher who will support and guide you through these new skills.

This course will cover: 

• What is Tone and Texture? Explore different ways to add shading and small marks to your work to quickly improve its realism and skill.
• But what about curved shapes? Build on your knowlege of the previous week to apply your new shading skills to curved and round shapes. Learn how to use your pencil to make round objects look like they come off the page!
• Time to sketch! Learn how to hold your pencil for sketching and what equiptment to use when drawing something out. Use the still life provided to practice using proportion so the objects are drawn to the right size compared to everything else.
• It's showtime! Combined all the skills you have practiced to add tone and texture to the objects you sketched last week culminating in a stunning final piece to celebrate all you have learnt over the course.
