"Thank you, Deanna, for creating such a fun, safe and encouraging space in which to learn.  Every class has been so well-structured and informative, with lots of individual hints and tips as we worked."

"For a one-hour workshop on how to make the best use of my Smartphone's camera, I don't think this could have been better.  Deanna is a warm, supportive teacher with oceans of knowledge.  I'd certainly recommend this workshop to friends."

"Thoroughly enjoyed Deanna's recent watercolour course.  Lovely small, attentive group. Deanna is a thoughtful and enthusiastic tutor and has got me back up and running with my paint brushes. I'm going to sign up for another in the New Year. "

About Thrive Art

Hello my name is Deanna, I am a fully qualified and insured Art Teacher and I look forward to helping support you to learn and nurture your creative talent. I have a First in Illustration BA(hons), PGCE with distinction for Secondary School Teaching (Art and Design) and QTS from the University of Hertfordshire.

I have been praised for my teaching of students with additional needs, specifically ADHD, Autism and Dyslexia, by creating a safe, clear and supportive environment for all students to flourish. I have many years experience teaching in Outstanding secondary schools across Hertfordshire from ages 11-18 teaching both GCSE and A-Level Fine Art, Photography and Textiles.

I believe that a patient and supportive environment full of tips and examples is the best classroom environment whether that be online or in person. I have knowledge of Eduqas, AQA and Edexcel exam boards and have had great results helping pupils to improve their skills and grades in my teaching experience. I create a safe and supportive environment sprinkled with good humour and kindness so you can reach your goals at any level.
